"Thousands of years ago, our lived experiences were not communicated through language, but through movement, sound, rhythm, image and enactment. Expressive arts therapy continues this uniquly human tradition through embodied, implicit, and sensory-based experiences -- the core, essence, and birthright of all our lived truths and inner wisdom."

ABOUT ART THERAPY
What is it?
Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative processes of making art to improve one's physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Art therapy is an allied health profession involving therapeutic frameworks and processes that support participants to express themselves in safe and contained ways. Art therapy can be beneficial for people who cannot verbalise their feelings and experiences due to nuerodiversity, developmental delays, cognitive, trauma or other conditions. Helping to resolve conflicts, develop inter-personal skills, manage behaviour, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and achieve insight are all benefits of art therapy.
